Can I make my swing work for a 9* driver with a Stiff shaft?

Im 19 and I play “Bogey-Golf” My Handicap is 14. Im 5’10″ and 152lbs and I recently recieved a Taylormade R7 “Draw” Driver as a present. It’s a 9* with Stiff shaft. Im wondering what my chances are of making this thing work? Any tips on getting a nice launch angle? Im going to the range 2morrow morning for the 1st time and playing a round after so any help I can get tonight would be awesome.

I’ve played stiff shaft on the driver for over 20 years. At the moment, my main driver is Taylormade super quad 9.5 degree with stiff shaft and D5 swing weight. I hit this club longer than ever. I mean I own and play Titeist, Mizuno, Nike Sas and Sumo. Nike Sumo is pretty good comparing to this Taylormade, but don’t let the degree in the loft fool you. If you hit the driver correctly, the lower the degree is the longer the chance that you can hit the drive.
By far, Taylormade is the easiest driver to hit in my opinion. I’ve been hitting 8-8.5 degree drivers for a long time until they said higher loft will give us more carry, hence the distance that I moved up to 9-9.5. But. let me tell you driver is used in hitting on the up swing, i.e. you’ve gotta move the ball a little bit to the front of your stand and on impact, the club face will hit the ball up automatically.
Take your club to the driving range, and have faith in it and yourself, then hit the hell out of it.
Have fun and enjoy the game.
